Description: Height- 4'1" ft. weight 80 lbs. Age 132

Alakas is a attractive drow male (Apr 16 Cha 18). He wears his clerical robes proudly as it took him a great deal to earn the right to become a cleric. His white hair hangs just below his ears and is normally well kept as Alakas keeps a very clean appearance. At first glance he doesn't appear to be threatening considering his average build (Str10). Alakas has a deep scar on his lower left chest that appears to be a star but is actually several scares that meet as one.

Brief History:

Alakas has no recall of his parents as he was abandoned shortly after birth in the streets of Sshamath. He would guess because of his gender but regardless he found himself being brought up by a old human mage. At the age of ten the old man was killed in a wizards duel. Alakas was left alone once more but the old man had left him at least belongs. For the next year he struggled for survival on the streets until he had the misfortune of getting in the way of a extremely pissed cleric of lolth. The cleric instead of beating him, tossed him to the ground and stabbed him in the chest several times.  As he fought to stay conscious he watched as a masked drow slayed the cleric and snatched his blood covered body off the ground before he blacked out. When he awoke Alakas found himself in the Tower of Masked Mage being tended by male that seemed to be able to magically heal by the name of Elkree. Elkree adopted Alakas and taught him in the ways of Vhaeraun. As Elkree served as a messenger to the surface temple Alakas was brought along for the ride. The equality Alakas saw in the temple above amazed him and filled with a even greater passion for the masked lord.
On one of Alakas's extended visits to the temple above he was introduced to a new born baby girl by the name of Alya. He from the moment he saw her beautiful orange eye decided that Alya would be his when she came to age.He watched her grow stronger and more beautiful as the years past but when she was about ten in age he was told that he would have to start his training. Alakas trained  for a good length of time as a wizard in the Tower ,serving the Temples desires until they called upon him to deliver a message to the temple above. Alakas saw to his duties first and then was met with an Alya of 72 in age who he recognized as a fighter by the way she wielded a short sword. The meeting was brief however as she was called away to serve in a raid which she did not return from. Alakas went to search for her in with several others to see if they had been any survivors but didn't find Alya's body among the dead. Alakas spoke to the leader and after completing several test was allowed to stay on the surface and learn the ways of a cleric. He let the desire of Alya with her enchanting eyes go and focused on his studies. Years pasted and the temple grew stronger when one evening on the night before the new moon a blood stained female came in to the temple knowing all the ways around the traps and directly into the main alter. Alakas had raced after the figure but was motioned to stay in place by the Leader of the Temple as Alya made a large sacrifice. For the next few months Alya allowed Alakas to get close to her only because she saw him as a cleric and made it clear every time he came to see her. They studied the word together for a time as she recovered but as soon as she was fully physically healed she became increasingly difficult to keep track of and the fact that she had the speed of a demon.
Alya went back to aiding her father and traveling to and from the underdark which was nothing more then an annoyance as she ignored his interest in her. It however encouraged him to continue his efforts as it was clear she noticed them. Alakas continued both his duties and interest in Alya even when she returned with two new lovers in hand. Auna was a masked traitor whom Alakas had great conflict with as soon as he saw the physical damage she did to Alya. It was insulting and disgusting to Alakas and he would not have it. He did everything in his power to get her sent away and destroy her relationship with Alya. The Leader favoring him warned that his attachment to Alya was unhealthy but he allowed it to continue. His prayers where answered when he was called to aid Alya before she bled to death. As Alya was to weak to do anything other then verbalize her displeasure Alakas took her before the leader and made her tell him what had happened. Alya had become valued as a jeweler, unquestionably loyal to the faith to the point where she was offered a place in the clergy and a skilled fighter to the temple that could not be lost to the foolishness of there own. As such Auna was sent to return to her duties in Menzoberranzan and forbidden from coming anywhere near Alya.
With Auna gone Alya allowed Alakas to be close to her once more even though she took a much more aggressive and violent hand with him. Alakas realized quickly that Alya had been softened from whatever life she had lived while away from the temple that she refused to share and knew she would jump at the chance to serve the temple. He pulled a few strings and payed a great deal of his own wealth to both the Temple Above and Tower of Masked Mage but was able to have them both reassigned to Sshamath. Alakas was more comfortable in the surrounding of the underdark and quickly regained the contacts/allies he had made a few years before. He once again returned to the duties of the temple as they desired and enjoyed the fact that he had brought Alya to a place where she would either meet her full potential pleased him. Alakas has more then a few lovers to keep entertained however his eyes remain on 'his Gem' Alya.

Alakas wishes to serve against the oppression and help those lost the real meaning of there existence. He cares little for coin as knowledge is true power and will not be bought at any price if it endangers the temple.  

Personality and character interaction:

Alakas is extremely intelligent (Int 26) and you can tell by the way he speaks however he does know when to keep his mouth shut.Clever is a very good way to describe him. He is cautious but does have a overwhelming curiosity that he makes infectious by the way he drags others into his exploration.He tends to have an eye  for oddity and it has been known to steal his focus enough to be added to that which he desires or at least wants to learn more of. His focus and discipline aid him greatly witch also leads him to be more lawful then even he would like to admit. Alakas is loyal and puts his duty to the church above all his other desires.
  Alakas very much enjoys a good time and as such has had more then a handful of lovers in his time and as such has a six year old daughter (drow) whom he has never been allowed to see other then magical means.  Alakas also has a son by who he name of Sornd (half drow half human) who helps to support and still counts his mother as a lover.
Alakas more then desires to bed Alya as he laid claimed to her in his own mind years ago. She fascinates him and her good nature despite her surrounds is refreshing to him even if he would never admit that to her. His normal way of courting of lover through romance has yet to win him anything more then a dagger slammed through his hand by Alya but he has convinced himself that she is simply playing hard to get which only fuels his fire for her. Alakas is extremely stubborn and has a great ability to lie to himself to continue any focus. He becomes extremely jealous of any that Alya shows attention and more so to those she shows affection to the point of rage. He hates other people getting what he believes he has earned and deserves. In the case of woman and Alya, Alakas will attempt to win the affection or at least some positive attention from the female that Alya has deemed so worthy. If shot down he tends to become vindictive but does so from a distance or under someone else's name. Alakas is more then willing to duel for a love interest however is not above cheating to win.
In confrontation or combat, Alakas would rather be able to battle at range. If this fails he will take a more hands on approach however he never goes into the field alone. If bested in battle and lives, depending on the circumstances he will rematch and attempt to further embarrass his foe. He has no mercy for the priestess of lolth and enjoys the death of each one that dies even if it isn't by his blade. Alakas has only been known to be disgustingly cruel to the priestess of lolth to the point where a comrade end the priestess life to end the suffering.Alakas will do anything in his power to help crush the Web of the Spider Queen even if it means his own death to do so. He is known for his almost overwhelming faith in Vhaeraun and a caster not to be casually annoyed. Once he has been angered his focus on you tends to equal a painful death.

Alakas in a group: As a leader he is incredibly skilled at directing and encouraging those that follow however he truly shines as support. He excels as at ranged hitting hard with his wizard spells and compliments it by becoming a healer if they survive long enough for hand to hand. Alakas if given the chance buffs the abilities of those allies he battles with knowing there strength to be his own in such case.
In a long journey Alakas tends to compliment those who he travels with even if he has a dislike for them. He is very patient and where that fails he is disgustingly stubborn. When fights break out among companions, Alakas is quick to break it up and surve as a diplomat. Every being is worth something in the temple and to make them stronger is to make us stronger as a whole. Those that betray him find the ground beneath there very feet gone and Alakas watching without mercy as they fall.

Alakas at Current: Alakas has returned to the duties at the Tower of the Masked Mage and increased his study of Vhaeraun's word to increase his understanding. He is working to make a perment place for himself and Alya in the temple. Alakas keeps his daughter a secrect however his son is known at the temple which he was hoping would wait until he was older as he is only sixteen and a beginning of a talented rogue.
